Mom’s Corner 👩‍👧

Hi, I’m Sanjana Poladi, the voice behind USMLE Mom. I’m a  Medical Doctor with 6 years of diverse clinical experience and a strong academic foundation. Proven expertise in Respiratory Medicine, Internal Medicine, and General Practice, honed through international experience in healthcare systems across India and the UK. Also I'm a mom, and someone walking the same road many of you are on — preparing for the USMLE while balancing the beautiful chaos of life.

This space isn’t about perfect schedules or polished study plans. It’s about sharing the real journey — the late-night study sessions, the doubts, the breakthroughs, and the small victories that make this exam more than just a test.

Through USMLE Mom, I want to create a place where we can connect honestly — where you’ll find my stories, my struggles, and the little tips that keep me going. More importantly, it’s a space where you can share your thoughts, ask questions, and feel less alone in this demanding process.

Motherhood and medicine both require resilience, and here, we celebrate that balance. If you’re preparing for USMLE — whether you’re a student, a parent, or both — this is your community too.

Welcome to the journey. Let’s walk it together. 💙

🌙 Tips to Calm Your Baby

  • Swaddle & Rock: Snug swaddling + gentle rocking works wonders.

  • White Noise: Fans, shushing, or a sound machine can soothe crying.

  • Rhythmic Motion: A stroller walk or short car ride often helps.

  • Comfort Feeding: Pacifiers or a small feed may calm fussiness.

  • Skin-to-Skin Contact: Holding your baby close helps both baby & mom relax.

  • Check the Basics: Hunger, diaper change, and room temperature are common causes.
